You Are What You EAT!

With different messages on what’s best to eat coming from so many sources, people just don’t know which foods work better than others. And, when looking at nutritional value and life force, many people do not realize the vast difference in whether they buy fresh, frozen or canned and VAST difference of choosing to eat LIVING FOODS or cooked foods.

Below you will find two charts that will help you begin to make better decisions on what you buy and how you prepare the food you are going to eat. Then, you will find yummy recipes that will give you ‘High Nutritional Value’. You will begin to understand more as you go to the MEALS tab and start choosing your ‘MEALS’ for the week!

And as much as possible avoid ‘processed’ anything.

If you do not have a garden and you go SHOPPING, follow this order:

Look for ORGANIC locally grown foods!

  1. Fresh ORGANIC – Locally Grown (this would be in season)
  2. Eating Seasonally is BEST!
  3. Fresh Conventional – Locally Grown
  4. Fresh ORGANIC
  5. Fresh Conventional
  6. Frozen ORGANIC
  7. Frozen Conventional
  8. Canned/ Bottled ORGANIC
  9. Canned/ Bottled Conventional

Preparing Your Meals!

You want to get them most nutrition and energy from every delicious bite so eat as much Living Foods as possible. That is BEST!
If you are cooking or warming your food on a stove or over,  it is best to use gas vs. electric and please please, never use a microwave oven.

When preparing your meals, the BEST  RAW Living Alkalizing Foods. Then follow this order:

    1. Raw / Living Foods
    2. Dehydrated
    3. Lightly Steamed
    4. Grilled on Fire
    5. Lightly Sauteed with Grape Seed Oil or an oil that will hold heat
    6. Steamed
    7. Grilled
    8. Baked
    9. Boiled
    10. Fried

(Don’t eat fried foods… or if you do make sure they are lightly pan fried with a high heat oil)

So many of us get into a rut and eat the same foods over and over. I am suggesting to you that you add some variety in your meals. Use a variety colors to your plate and in your soups. Think Green first and mostly and then add Red, Yellow, Orange, Brown, White… they all have different nutritional values and will provide you with well rounded delicious meals. Your meals will look good as you make them & as you serve them.
