Juicing Can Be Fun and Easy!
The BEST juice is the one you will drink every day so play around and find some ingredients that you love. Try a bunch of different recipes. Think of it as an exploration of your taste buds and a gift of nutrition to your body! You will discover your favorites. Just remember that all of the veggies offer great and different nutritional value to your body so I encourage you to change them up and get all the nutrition you need in a fun, easy and delicious way!
I suggest a standard base for every juice and then you can play around and add whatever is in your refrigerator for a variety of tastes and nutrition… or many times for me my juice is whatever I find in my fridge ; – )
Recommended Juice for Healing & Cleansing
Cucumber – 20%
Celery – 20%
Sprouts – 30% ( Choose from Sunflower, Pea Green or Buckwheat Sprouts. I mostly use Sunflower, I find they are the easiest to juice)
1 -2 Cloves of Garlic and/or a small Nub of Ginger (adjust this to your taste) Please make sure to include one or the other or both on a regular basis. I like to alternate most of the time. They both have great value. After you have your base, ADD anything GREEN that you have in your fridge like: Spinach, Kale, Collards Greens, Romaine, Swiss Chard, Broccoli, etc.
If you are not doing a healing cleanse you may want to add a carrot, beet or an apple but please be sparing with these because of the sugar content.
You will want to eliminate sugar veggies and fruits while healing.
Then use in moderation when on a regular basis!

I have 2 juicers… one for my wheatgrass and some of the tender sprouts (Miracle Wheatgrass Juicer) and a different juicer for my regular daily juices and more sturdy veggies. (I love the Breville) I chose both of these juicers because of their ease to clean and the time it takes. Any juicer you have will do. If you are buying a new one, I strongly suggest you take it apart and put it back together before your purchase. If making juice is too difficult or takes too long, then you probably won’t make your juice. Remember, the goal is to juice daily so let’s make it easy, quick and FUN so you WILL do it!
Basic Green Juice – This is the recipe that I use most. (makes approx 12 ounces)
Making for one person is just as easy and fast as making for 2, 3 or 4 people. I often just walk in the kitchen and make a quick juice. it take me about 12 minutes from start to finish!
Ingredients:
1/2 Cucumber
1 stalk of Celery
1 leaf of Kale with stem
1 large handful of Spinach
1 Carrot
1 Apple
1/2″ piece of Ginger
1 Clove of Garlic
1 handful of Sunflower Sprouts, if you can get them or grow them. I usually wrap the sunflower sprouts inside of a kale leaf before putting them in the juicer. The juicer seems to actually get more juice out of the sprouts this way and not just shoot them through. I order my sunflower sprouts from Alberto at WheatgrassDepot.com He sends them overnight on ice and they are amazing!
The most valuable healing juice on it’s own for most people is wheatgrass. To learn more, click here.
You will also see a separate tab for shakes and soups which also offer wonderful nutrition but are not made with a juicer. For those you will use a Vitamix.(a special code is provided at check-out for FREE SHIPPING when you click on this link to order your new Vitamix)
Why do I recommend Garlic in most of my juice. and most of my meals?
Garlic is a powerful natural therapeutic herb. Garlic is known for its ability to help lower cholesterol & lower high blood pressure, it is great for the heart and helps prevent heart attacks. Garlic also has antibacterial and antiviral properties that make it a smart choice for treating the onset of a cold! It can help improve your immune system and strengthen the natural defense system of the body. Garlic is also credited with anti-oxidants that help fight cancer and cancerous tumors. Medical science has proof that garlic contains compounds like diallye disulphide and s-allycystein, which have anti-tumor properties and help in slowing down the growth of tumors and also reduce their size. Those are just a few of the reasons why I LOVE GARLIC!
Allicin is the compound found in garlic that give it its a natural disease-fighting capabilities. Allicin is also what gives garlic its pungent smell. Remember that garlic must be chopped and exposed to air for at least several minutes for the allicin to be effective when you eat it.
Allicin is also know as mother nature’s insecticide. I scattered garlic plants in my flower garden years ago and then noticed that all those pesky leaf eating insects just didn’t bother with my garden anymore and we all lived happily ever after! Gotta love that!
